[the story]
[chapter 1]
The humble buzz of excitement filled the air, large crowds of people gathered around a large circle filled with dirt. There were many different kinds of people, you could tell that they had traveled far to be here, at the Olympics.
A child stretches his arm through the fence and his fingers just barely manage to touch one of the magnificent beings he has been dreaming about for the last couple of weeks, but these horses are not here for silly kid rides and therefore are unmoved by his display. They have worked their entire lives for the privilege to compete in this arena and nothing is going to wreck this for them. Or so they thought.
The loud buzz soon fell quiet as a single rain drop fell from the sky and then another and then another. On any normal day most people would have been unmoved by this display of water. But today was not another normal day. It was the day the human kind was to be cleaned. Isn’t it ironic how life unfolds. One of the proudest day of mankind, the Olympics, would also be the day mankind ended.
The second the water started it to fall was the second it began to flood. You could hear people screaming and grabbing at their children trying to escape the inescapable. All forms of life were soon swallowed by the dark murky water expect a few of the magnificent horses managed to struggle against. It is a mystery exactly how these horses survived. Eventually the waters stopped. Once the horses had rested and regained back some of their mental and physical strength they began to look around at what was left. The water had basically turned the world into ruins leaving only a couple of streets intact, a few buildings, but not very much. For the most part, the land was grass and sky. The horses began to wander and soon realized that this would be home. Every now and then the horses come across a stray and they introduce this place as Flaming Passions.
