Senseless Cruelty focuses on a world which is falling apart. Apocalypse has risen and is seeking power, the Goblin Queen is out for blood, and the world itself shows a hate for mutants. An attack on the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning left the X-Men shattered and trying to piece themselves back together, leaving perhaps the only safe place for mutants to be Genosha. War is coming quickly, and there seems to be no clear way out.
